I make sure to check out the other items out there to make sure my items are the highest quality and design you can find. Why buy non-quilted items when you can buy quilted items and feel confident that when you wash them, they will keep their shape? I love pockets and so you will see all my bags have pockets. Some of my bags have small pockets, while others have water bottle pockets, cell phone pockets, and all other types of pockets. I am also a girl that most people would consider fashionable, and my fabrics are chosen with the same consideration my shoes are. I love old and funky materials, but mostly I use modern and chic fabrics. I make every thing as if I were making them for myself. If it is not good enough for me to carry around, then why would you want to? If you look around you will see that not only am I competitively priced, but the quality and design make my items a step-above.
Growing up I was responsible for all the domestic duties, and I was always fond of cooking. My mother used to decorate cakes and sew halloween outfits and I thought I wanted to do that too. I started taking cooking classes, and then teaching them. I loved cooking for others and I loved eating. Then my mother-in-law asked me if I wanted to learn to sew quilted bags. I agreed, after all I had a sewing machine that I never used, and so after a few classes my first bag was made and a monster was created. Soon I was taking all sorts of classes, and redesigning everything. Next you know it that machine I never used was having to get repaired every month from too much use. All my friends loved my bags, and would pressure me to sell them, but I said I wouldn't. Since I love accessories and shopping, I kept buying more and more fabric, until it took up way too much space and I decided, maybe I should give in and sell some bags. Every bag is like a part of me, like a puppy I hate to let go of; however, I love seeing how much women love them and when men tell me how great the bags are that they bought for their mothers and wives. So it is a win-win. Except, obviously it is a hobby of love, since I spent about 4-7 hours on each bag depending on what kinds it is.
I am just a girl who likes accessories, shopping, and sewing. People are always shocked when they see me hauling my sewing machine around like most people my age would carry a laptop. I am addicted to it, and I am passionate about it. I am also a very competitive person and I think that comes out in my work as well. I may be in my early 30s, but I am an old soul- perhaps that is because of the old name. I love old vintage fabrics, pin-up girls, polka dots, and argyle. But if you poke around too much, I think you will figure that out for yourself!
